Want more inner peace? Go slower

I’m usually a fast driver. Faster than I would like to

Even though I consider myself careful, something in me always tell me to go fast.

And that’s not just on the car! On life too

I walk fast. I speak fast. I try to move fast

But recently, I’ve been trying to take things slower.

I started wondering “what if I’m going so fast that I’m not even paying attention to the opportunities around me?”

And so I started driving slower. I suddenly noticed more things on my way to and from work

I actually had time to read the commercials on the side of the road, not just skim them without paying attention

I started taking different routes, even if it takes me 10 more mins, just for the extra variety!

I started driving with no music on. For those who know me, this is a BIG one! I always drive with music in my car, and usually loud

But suddenly, I found inner peace.

I don’t need to have music on, my thoughts are more than enough to keep me entertained!

And the same happens in our lifes

We’re sometimes so focused on our destination, that we forget to enjoy the journey!

We have so much to do, we don’t even think about slowing down, simply gotta keep going!

We’re so focused on going fast, that we take wrong turns and end up in places we never wanted to be in the first place

Instead, we should slow down, enjoy the ride of life, and be open for the opportunities around us.

Life will be way more pleasant that way!
